The Institute for Practical Ethics offers a limited number of visiting scholar positions each academic year in order to support advanced research and writing on any aspect of the mission of the institute.

Visiting scholars must have their own extramural funding, but are provided with shared office space, as well as full access to all UC San Diego academic, institutional and recreational resources. Visiting scholars may request for living allowance to help defray costs during stay at UC San Diego. They benefit from interaction in a supportive, interdisciplinary community of scholars and have an opportunity to present their research.
